Governor's Prayer Breakfast Committee
The Governors Prayer Breakfast is an important event in calendar of the wider Christian community of Western Australia and the organising committee is dedicated to its continued growth, success and relevance. It is organised on a not for profit basis by an incorporated, voluntary committee which has no denominational allegiance. The committee members are:
Richard Foster
Richard and his wife, Roslyn pastor Calamunnda Church. They are parents of 6 children. Richard is a foundation member of the Apostolic Transformation Network an international association of Christian leaders, representing the pulpit and the marketplace, who's purpose is to see the Great Commission fulfilled in our generation through the discipling of nations. The network is presently joining with the Church in Argentina in hopes that she will be the first nation thus reached and to become a prototype for nation reaching. He is also a member of a several pastoral networks across the state. Apart from his pastoral ministry Richard has worked as an administrator, lecturer, businessman, groundsman and builder.
Richard is responsible for organizing and managing prayer support for the Governor's Prayer Breakfast.
Peter Goodall
Peter is an engineer and project manager in the Western Australian Government's Office of Major Projects. While he grew up in Perth, he spent 18 years living and working in the USA, where he met his wife, Joanne and where his son, Doug and daughter, Amy were born. While he was living in Salt Lake City, he met his personal saviour, Jesus Christ. Peter is committed to sharing what Jesus has done in his life with anyone who will listen. Peter is Immediate Past Chairman of the Governor’s Prayer Breakfast Organising Committee
Barry Grosser
Barry is General Manager of 98.5 Sonshine FM and joined the station three years before it came to air in January of 1988. Prior to that he worked ten years announcing and programming in commercial radio. He is committed to the relevant communication of his faith through electronic media, and the promotion of vibrant Christ-centred unity among Christians across denominations. Barry is responsible for sponsorship, advertising and promotion of the Governor’s Prayer Breakfast
Pastor John A Hardy
Coach / Consult Pastor at Lakelands Christian Centre (AOG / ACC)
John is Founder & Director of Peak Consultancy ‘Coach-Consult-Lead-Mission’ - a Market Place Business, with relationships with NCD, Coachnet, Ministry Advantage and others. John is a Ministry/Business Coach / Consultant to Pastors, Christian and Business Leaders in Australia and Overseas. John has been the Keynote Speaker at a number of Camps, Conventions, Conferences and Evangelistic Rallies. He has travelled throughout Indonesia, Malaysia, India and Singapore. John is also experienced in training and leading short-term mission teams overseas.
Roman Kazmirowicz
Roman is a mathematics teacher at Kingsway Christian College where he has taught since 1999.
Roman grew up in Hobart and prior to moving to Perth, he worked as a mechanical engineer at Mack Trucks for 6 years.
He and his wife Judy have been married for 35 years. They have two wonderful children, Laura and David, and a beautiful granddaughter, Jenna.
Roman has served on the Governor’s Prayer Breakfast Committee since its inception and is responsible for venue details and planning.
Luke Pasotti
Luke is ICT Manager Bethesda Hospital and is responsible for the development of database warehousing and data analysing as well as overseeing the IT infrastructure. He is married to wife Rachel. Luke is committed to working with youth to build up young leaders who are passionate about their relationship with Jesus Christ.
Luke is responsible for co-ordinating the sponsorship media and audio visual as well as providing general technical assistance for the Governor’s Prayer Breakfast.
Michelle Pearse
Michelle is State Director for the Australian Christian Lobby in Western Australia.
Michelle is motivated by a sincere desire to see Christian values influencing the political arena. She entered this work in the belief that decisions made at the top level will either harm or benefit the individual. In an age where exploitation and abuse is on the rise, these decisions are crucial for the individualís welfare. She has a deep faith and a sincere and genuine belief in the dignity and welfare of every individual.
Michelle joined the Governorís Prayer Breakfast committee this year and is responsible for managing the pray-ers, readers and protocol.
Vida Shand
Vida was born in Kalgoorlie and grew up on a farm in the Wickepin/Narrogin District. Vida moved to Perth to pursue further education and a career. She married and settled in the City. Vida and her husband, Vic, have two children and six grandchildren. The majority of Vida’s working life has been spent at Royal Perth Hospital in the Administrative and Human Resource fields. Vida accepted Jesus Christ as her Saviour in 1968 and she and her husband fellowship at NorthWay Christian Centre, Girrawheen. Much of their ministry has been with children. In more recent times Vida has been called upon to use her administrative gifting in various roles. Vida joined the Governor’s Prayer Breakfast Organising Committee to provide administrative support.
Trevor Stiles
Trevor served 9 years in Royal Australian Navy (1963 - 1972) seeing active service in Brunei and Vietnam. Since leaving Navy Trevor has worked as a Credit Manager for several large companies and is currently Credit/Commercial Manager for Broad Group Holdings Pty Ltd. Trevor became a Christian in 1983 and served on the board of North Way Christian Centre for 12 years (1988 - 2000) during which time he was introduced to Priority One TV Ministry and is now the Chairperson of Priority Television Network Inc. Trevor joined the Governor’s Prayer Breakfast committee in 2002 and is currently its Chairperson/Treasurer and is responsible for speaker and venue arrangements. Trevor fellowships at the Subiaco Church of Christ.
